The 2023 Poetry London Prize, run by Poetry London magazine, has a whopping £5,000 first prize, with £2,000 for second place and £1,000 for third. For many, that will be enough to convince them to enter. But throw in publication in this classy and well-regarded poetry magazine, and this is certainly a competition for the most ambitious poets out there.
You need to enter through Submittable, and if you are planning on entering three or more poems, it makes sense to subscribe to the magazine and it will work out cheaper (and you’ll be able to read loads of brilliant poems in the issues you’ll receive).
