To Hull And Back Short Story Competition is the biennial humorous writing contest run by award-winning writer and editor Christopher Fielden. With a very generous total prize pot of £2,000, this is a fantastic competition that offers cash prizes to the authors of the top 20 entries.
And not only that… the winner receives what can only be described as a wholly unique prize: the face of the winner author will be printed on the To Hull And Back Short Story Anthology which will be sent to them. But before it wings its way to the winner, said anthology will be strapped to the handlebars of a Harley Davidson motorcycle and filmed being ridden to Hull and back (from somewhere near Bristol). This might sound a little bizarre, but there’s nothing wrong with that in our eyes. And just to prove we haven’t made the whole thing up, you can check out the videos Chris made when riding the faces of previous contests To Hull And Back on the competition website!
Note that there’s an early bird price and also a discount for additional entries (up to three in total), so it pays to get your entries in sooner rather than later. Good luck!
