DESCRIPTION:Deadline: Friday 19th April 2024\nEntry Fee: FREE\nPrizes: A ‘library’ of Chelsea Green titles worth £500\, plus an exclusive one-to-one session with Muna Reyal\, Head of Editorial at Chelsea Green\nWord Limit: 1\,500 words\nJudges: Nicola Chester\, Dominic Couzens\, Muna Reyal and Fiona Mountain\nCategory: Non-fiction Writing Competitions\nCompetition Website: farm-ed.co.uk/post/farmed-chelsea-green-writers-prize-2024\n\nOrganised by FarmED (a not-for-profit organisation based at Honeydale Farm) in collaboration with Chelsea Green Publishing UK\, the FarmED Chelsea Green Young Writers Prize 2024 is open to entrants aged 16-3o who have something to say about sustainable food\, regenerative agriculture\, biodiversity and climate change. \nThe judges are seeking up to 1500 words about any subject across the spectrum of ecological food\, farming and the environment and would welcome powerful\, inspiring articles\, pieces of fiction\, journals\, blogs or opinion pieces.\nJudging the 2024 award will be award-winning nature writers Nicola Chester and Dominic Couzens\, Muna Reyal (Head of Editorial\, Chelsea Green Publishing UK) and storyteller Fiona Mountain from FarmED. \nFinalists will be invited to attend the Farm & Food Literature Festival on Saturday\, 11th May at FarmED where the winner will be announced. Prizes include a ‘library’ of Chelsea Green titles worth £500\, plus an exclusive one-to-one session with Muna Reyal\, Head of Editorial at Chelsea Green. The winning submission will be published on the FarmED and Chelsea Green websites and shared across social media.
