Picture book entries should be text only of up to three books in a single submission with a short synopsis for each story. \nThe entry fee of £33 might appear on the high side when it comes to writing competitions. But then the judges and readers need to assess 5\,000 words plus a synopsis for each entry\, so it is understandable on a certain level. And the top prize for 2026 is a whopping £5\,000\, which is also very nice indeed (and probably more than a lot of a published authors make from royalties in a year!).
