Adult and 2. YA & Children’s fiction\nCompetition Website:  petersfraserdunlop.com/pfd-queer-fiction-prize-back-for-2024\n\nRun by Peters Fraser + Dunlop (one of the longest established and most highly respected literary agencies in the UK)\, the PFD Queer Fiction Prize is a novel prize specifically for new LGBTQIA+ writers with the aim of finding emerging talent. \nNote that there are two categories for the prize: \n1. Adult\n2. YA & Children. \nBoth are free to enter\, but entrants must only submit one entry. \nThe prize of this free-to-enter contest is well worth winning: representation by the agency and support in writing to the end of your novel – which could prove invaluable for anyone looking to make it in the world of adult or YA & children’s literature. \nEntrants should submit a cover letter introducing yourself and your book. Then attach a three chapter sample of your work plus a synopsis (no more than 1-2 pages of A4). See the prize site for the full submission details. \nPlease note\, the eligibility criteria: the prize is open to anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and who is un-agented and in the process of writing a piece of fiction is eligible to enter. Submissions do not necessarily have to be about LGBTQIA+ experiences as long as the writer identifies as such\, though the organisers are especially interested in stories with LGBTQIA+ characters or themes.
