Competition Details
The Albury Wodonga Martial Arts (AWMA) is celebrating their 10th year and to help mark the occasion they are running this writing competition on the theme of Martial Arts. As well as the Open category detailed above for adults, there are two categories for children. Here are the summaries of all three:
Categories:
Open : Aged 16 and Above
– Entry Fee: $10
– Maximum words: 1,000
– First: $200
– Second: $100
– Third: $50
10 to 15 years old
– Entry Fee: $5
– Maximum words: 750
– First: $100 Harvey Norman Gift Voucher
– Second: $50
– Third: $25
9 years and under
– Entry Fee: $5
– Maximum words: 750
– First: $100
– Second: $50
– Third: $25
Note that as well as the cash prizes mentioned, all writers in the top three in their category will receive a two-year digital subscription to Martial Arts Magazine (value $98).
The entries can be fiction or non-fiction as long as martial arts are a central part and you treat it with respect.
