Festive 50-Word Competition 2025 – Results
Our latest free-to-enter writing competition brought in almost 200 festive entries. We’re pleased to announce that the judges have selected the winner as:

Râna has won the prize of £50, plus one free entry to our Flash Fiction Competition 2026 (which is open to entries until 31st January 2026 and has a top prize of £1,100… DETAILS HERE).

My love,
it’s that time of year again
soft cinnamon-sugar December
days too short, but these nights
were made for you and me
slow-dancing in the garden
of our gingerbread house,
tiny snowflakes
like white-winged angels
hugging your eyelashes;
under blushing mistletoe
your arms around me
so warm

melt

Author bio: Nyra Selwyn adores the arts - she is passionate about theatre, music and photography, but writing is her one true love. She writes poetry and prose. At nineteen years old, she is new to the scene and hopes to make a name for herself.
