Organised by The Failing Writers Podcast (“A podcast for anyone who ever dreamed of being a writer… then went and put the kettle on”), this flash fiction competition has a very reasonable £1 entry fee and a very nice top prize of £500.
It’s a festive-themed competition but you can choose the genre – it could be a spooky winter tale, a love story, historical fiction, sci-fi… anything! As long as it’s festive. And festive can mean ‘Christmas’, ‘Hannukah’, ‘Solstice’, ‘Diwali’ or any other wintery-type-festivities.
Note that the mandatory special phrase for this year’s competition (which must be included in your entry) will be revealed in episode 20 of season 4 of the podcast on 4th November 2024. See the The Failing Writers Podcast website for more details.
