The Fish Flash Fiction Prize, run by west Ireland-based Fish Publishing, offers a top prize of €1,000 and is judged by the brilliant Kit de Waal. Although the €14 entry fee is towards the top end for flash fiction contests, subsequent entries will cost a little less at €9. There is also the option to pay an extra €38 to get a critique of your entry, if that floats your boat.
Aside from the prizes listed above, the top 10 stories will be published in the next Fish Anthology, which is a great way to get your writing out to a wider audience. So if you fancy trying your hand at a spot of flash fiction, the Fish Flash Fiction Prize is certainly worth entering.
