The folk at flash500.com have a great quarterly competition aimed at flash fiction writers. Entries of up to 500 words are eligible, with deadlines on 31st March, 30th June, 30th September and 31st December.
The entry fee of £5 for one story, £8 for two stories, £11 for three stories, £14 for four stories. Entries must not have been published and must be in English, though entrants can reside anywhere in the world. So if you have honed at least the first part of you novel, get involved and give yourself a chance of earning the top prize of £300.
