The Southlands Writing Competition 2025 is open for entries until the deadline on 31st July 2025. There are two categories for entry: Fiction/Short Story and Life Writing. The theme for the Fiction/Short Story category is the weather. It’s up to you how you include the weather but some kind of weather must be included. Entries for the Life Writing category should be about the writer’s own life.
Entry fees are: £3.00 for a single submission. £5 if you submit to both life writing and creative writing. Fees go toward the prize pots and the Southlands Arts Centre, a charity with a mission to bring the arts to the local and wider community.
Check out the competition website for further details.
