The Southword Editor’s Poetry Award gives poets the chance to enter three poems for the very reasonable price of €24. The poet of the three poems judged the best will receive €1,000 plus publication in Southword. The entry fee also includes a complementary postage-free, one-year subscription to Southword, which is a great bonus.
The judge for the contest is the acclaimed Irish poet, Patrick Cotter, whose poems have been published far and wide, including in The London Review of Books, Poetry and Poetry Review. His third full-length collection, Sonic White Poise, was published by Dedalus, Dublin in 2021.
