David

David Hanson is a published poet and author (as DLC Hanson) whose work has been nominated for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize. His writing has appeared in Raw Lit, The Colored Lens, Dark Poets Club, and other literary journals. His short stories have been Globe Soup finalists, and he received an honourable mention in The Moth Short Story Prize 2022. David's poems have been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and selected as a finalist in Friction Lit’s Poetry Contest. Currently editing his debut novel (shortlisted for the Goldfinch Novel Award and longlisted for both the Cheshire Novel Prize and Grindstone International Novel Prize), David also works as an editor, drawing from his Master’s in Education with Linguistics. Previously, he worked in the travel industry, for charities, and as a careers advisor before co-founding a content writing business with Robin. In his spare time, he performs in a disco/funk/pop covers band.
