Independent bookshop Goldfinch Books are once again running their Novel Award in 2025.
The Goldfinch Novel Award 2025 is a prize for emerging authors (aged 16+) with completed young adult or adult novels. This competition is open to authors nationwide and will have a prize of £500 for the winning novel, chosen by judge James Mustelier, Literary Agent and Editorial Consultant at The Bent Agency.
With a reasonable entry fee of £10, and a longlist announcement soon after the deadline, this could be an excellent opportunity for aspiring authors. Note that longlisted authors to submit full manuscript of completed novels within a week of longlist announcement.
