Whispering Wisdom’s Children and Young People’s Poetry Contest 2026 is open for entries and is seeking poems on the theme of “connection”. The contest is free to enter and has two age categories: under 12, and under 18.
Poem Guidelines and Prize
– Maximum 12 lines
– Any style of poetry is welcome
– Free to enter
– One entry per person

Prizes
One winner from each age category will receive:
– A beautiful notebook
– Publication on the Whispering Wisdom website and social media
– Selected poems may also be shared (with consent) to celebrate the creativity of young writers
Safeguarding
Because this competition is for under 18s, the organisers require consent from a parent or guardian. All entries must be submitted through the online form on the competition website by a parent or guardian, who will provide their contact details and confirm permission for publication.
